NextGen Fire offers a wide range of fibre glass, plastic and steel cabinets suitable for extinguishers, hydrants and hose reels.

Cabinets provide the following benefits:

• Improve security with keyed locking mechanism, to ensure that only the appropriate persons will use it.
• Prevent theft of fire equipment
• Prolongs the life span of the fire equipment especially when outdoors, a fire cabinet will protect the fire equipment against all weather
conditions.
• Protection against rust in a marine environment.

Protection

A fire extinguisher cover or fire hose reel cover serves a few purposes. It protects your equipment from the elements and thereby extends the lifespan of these products by helping with the prevention of rust. They also serve to discourage unauthorised use of the equipment by making it a bit more difficult to access. Covers for your equipment may also be aesthetically pleasing and make general cleaning of dust easier.

Light-Duty Covers

PVC covers are a light-duty cover. They are best suited to indoor or shaded areas. The typical lifespan of a PVC cover is 2-3 years. They are not well suited to direct sun light which will shorten their lifespan. Old PVC covers which are badly sun damaged often have cracks which is point where the extinguisher is directly exposed where rust can develop much quicker.

Heavy-Duty Covers

Heavy Duty Covers are made from a Tarp type material are a much better suited to outdoor use than PVC. They do last longer and can withstand direct sunlight much better than PVC. Typically a lifespan of heavy duty cover is about 5 years in direct sunlight and much longer if kept in the shade.

UV-Resistant

UV Resistant Covers are available upon request though they are around twice as expensive as the Heavy Duty Cover. UV resistant covers have an estimated lifespan of 7 years.
